We have purchased those hard beef bones, vinyl chewy toys, rubber toys, rag bones, stuffed toys, and a number of other cheaper toys for our 1-year old dog, HoneyBear.
Do you know what Daisy and HoneyBear's favorite toys are? Plastic drink bottles - especially with some sand and gravel in it for the extra noise! She and Daisy also love old shoes/sandals, old pieces of rope, sticks and branches of small to moderate size, an old stuffed sock, and scraps of old t-shirts.
The one HoneyBear loves best - cardboard boxes! I am going to save a lot of money by NOT buying dog toys. She will play with some store bought ones for awhile, but she always comes back to these.
