Even a Non-Book Person Would Like These

Why am I selling books?

I had an amazingly LARGE amount of books that I’ve collected over the years. Well over 1000. So many that when we had to downsize to a MUCH smaller home, I did not have room for them all!  It broke my heart to think I would need to get rid of a lot of them. But I have given away or sold about 500-600 books so far and have just over 220 left to go. Don't worry. I am keeping well over 100 books for myself yet!

I am hoping that people will go to my Amazon storefront and look around. Maybe something will appeal to you.  If so, it is easy enough to purchase online there. And with Christmas around the corner, there are MANY new or like new books to choose from!

And let's face it, a good book is a great gift for any occasion such as birthdays, holidays, etc.  There are books for most any temperament, even those who don't care to read!

Books about: jokes and humor, hunting, sports, historical, religious books such as devotional readings, funny books, "coffee table" books, romance, how-to books, DIY repair books, pet care, pet training . . . oh my the list goes on and on.  As you can see, books CAN be good gifts for almost anyone.

Thank you for visiting. Be sure to visit my other pages also while you are here. There are many links available to help you look around.

Here is a recent image of my Amazon Storefront page. I dearly appreciate any sales.  Just click on the image below to go to my storefront:

The Cabin Project

I just HAD to share this with everyone!  I'd so much love to build a cabin like this - somewhere. Wouldn't that be so cool!?   I know ~ I live in the woods already, but to have something like this tucked away from "the world's problems" would be ideal. Self-sufficient for water and power too!  Come on... I know that all the hunters out there would love this for at least a hunting cabin, am I right?  I don't hunt by the way, except by camera, so I would love to peek out the window or sit outside and capture photos of the wildlife too. Anyway, here is how Hometalk presented this project.

Creating A Quiet, Self-Sufficient Place To Stay At The Farm

There is something magical about a cabin – especially one that is completely self sufficient – yet comfortable to stay in for a night or two. A peaceful place to get away, relax, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.  Designed and built to mimic an old world chicken coop. The cabin will be powered with solar panels, a rain water collection system for all non-drinking water needs, a compostable toilet, shower, and a small kitchen. Keeping with the overall theme of the farm, we would like to use recycled materials whenever and where ever possible. They hope that by late next spring they can complete the cabin project. But we can keep in touch to see how it fares by signing up for their update notices.
